Terms and disclaimer for the free cyber control readiness assessment.
These terms govern use of the free assessment and report. They are meant to keep the assessment clearly in the category of educational guidance rather than a regulated underwriting, brokerage, legal, or actuarial service.
Educational guidance only
The assessment and report are provided for general informational and educational purposes only. They summarize how selected cyber controls may affect underwriting readiness based on public sources, industry practice, and Anansi's internal judgment. They are not legal advice, insurance advice, actuarial advice, brokerage services, or an underwriting decision.
No quote, bind, renewal, or pricing commitment
The assessment does not create coverage, guarantee eligibility, predict premiums, guarantee renewability, or commit any carrier or broker to quote, bind, renew, or price a policy on any specific terms. Actual coverage outcomes depend on carrier appetite, applications, evidence, loss history, policy language, and facts outside this questionnaire.
Source limitations
The report relies on public breach reports, published research, and a fixed questionnaire. Those sources do not cover every industry, every carrier, or every fact pattern. The assessment may simplify or omit issues relevant to a specific organization. You are responsible for validating results against your own environment and professional advisers.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit and for any decisions you make based on the report. If you want tailored insurance placement, underwriting, legal interpretation, or incident-specific advice, you should work with appropriately qualified professionals.
Permitted use
You may use the assessment and report internally to evaluate your organization, discuss priorities, and share findings with internal stakeholders, brokers, or advisers. You may not misrepresent the report as a carrier decision, resell the tool as your own, or use the assessment to scrape or abuse the site.
No warranty
The assessment is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. Anansi disclaims warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement with respect to the assessment and report.
Liability cap
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Anansi will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or lost-profit damages arising out of or related to your use of the free assessment. If a court applies a direct-damages standard despite this disclaimer, Anansi's aggregate liability for the free assessment will not exceed USD $100.
Governing law and venue
These terms and any dispute arising out of or related to the assessment are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The exclusive venue for any such dispute is the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
Severability and entire agreement
If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in full effect. These terms, together with the Privacy Notice, are the entire agreement between you and Anansi regarding the assessment and supersede any prior or contemporaneous communications on that subject.
Changes
We may update these terms as the assessment evolves. Continued use of the assessment after an update means the current version governs that use.
